SHOULD THE STATUE OF LIBERTY PLAQUE BE REMOVED?

Below is the writing on the plaque o the Statue of Liberty from the Emma Lazarus Sonnet...

New Colossus
statue of liberty poem
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
“Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she
With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

Mother of Exiles is her name.  Um...Mother of exiles...Give me your tired, your poor, huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore.  Send these, the homeless, tempest tossed to me.

Those are the last few lines....mixed in there is the phrase...World Wide Welcome.

Is it just me, or should the USA have that plaque removed?

With Trump and his protectionist policies...this kinda makes the entire US of A, a bunch of hypocrites.   Through no fault of there own Trump has made a mockery of this once great statue, what it stands for and the people of the United States.
